Back to the books...
Well, I told myself I'd buy a new notebook to get back to writing thoughts that I'd end up using later to write more...for now, I am recording some thoughts of this week's happenings so that I will be able to recall better when I really attempt to ponder more...
This week, I read a very interesting, thought-provoking writing on group-think. Most know something about "group-think" but the 40 pages or so I analyzed went much deeper into the processes of group-think as they occur in small groups, committees/ organizational processes/ bureaucracies/ and, of course, gov't--particularly in gov't's fp decisions. Today, I read an interesting article on modern church growth. Now, when I sit down and put the 2 together (excluding the fp aspect), some interesting thoughts begin to process in my head. If I had time, I could probably jot down some interesting thoughts on Jesus, the Pharisees, Sanhedrin, and the Bay of Pigs....(think 'group-think' of organizations and how groupthink occurred as a part of sending Jesus to the Cross...yes, some people will be like ??? wondering what in the world what train track my thoughts are on...or what track they just jumped.) Sometime, I'll have to write more on that. Also, I have to note to myself that the radio had a discussion of Russia, and I am studying some Russian stuff right now; poppy also just walked in and said that Russia was on the radio when he got home---guess I should go find out more of what is being said. Fortunately, last semester's research was on Bulgaria's unassuming but significant location as a gateway for Europe/ Turkey/MiddleEast...and Russia and the pipelines and that was before I even knew I'd have to take this new course to sub it in for my missing course....good thing...now I have more thoughts to tackle that class project. I also have to tackle Austria vs. Argentina in an intense demog. class this semester. Overload...pure overload...I hate writing major research projects when I have to do more than one at a time. All of the classes this semester have more projects. Last semester I wrote about 100 pages of 'something' or other...I'm glad I cut back to 13 credits this time!?!?!!? My brain is fried, this year is already getting quite interesting with peppers and poppy transitions, and I wonder if I'll be transferring again, again, again, again looking like I'll fall short 15 credits.
Oh, today I won something! I can't remember a time I won a drawing! Big chili-pepper and I were in a store before Christmas shopping for a new purse for the Chil', and we both entered a drawing for a Vera Bradley gift set. I NEVER buy VeraBradley for myself...NEVER...but have bought some things when I needed a nice gift for some people who I knew liked VB....so anyway, I won this whole gift set!!! A purse, wallet, tote bag, and the large duffel bag too! I called the big chilipepper to inform it that I was sending some VB that way ....it happens to match the gift-purse I bought for that Christmas gift!!! Yay!!! I was so excited! Poppy just didn't get the gist of it all...that's okay, I can handle his eye-rolling because I-me-I won the gift set!

Happy New Year 2009!
Happy New Year 2009!
It might seem as if there is not much happening because I haven't written, but tons has been happening! For now, it is a new year. May you witness many blessings this year again.
School is getting back into full swing after a wonderful Christmas holi-day. Hopefully, I'll have a minute this weekend to catch up on some thoughts and postings from the holi-days. If not, see you soon--though maybe in a few months. I have cut back to 13 credits this semester in preparation for many other things that will be occurring for the family. One thing I have decided for this semester is that I need to start carrying a mini-notebook again; I find I end up with various thoughts and ideas that I would like to make a notation...many times, they are just big-little God-things that He blesses us with.
